Attorney Kambrell Garvin began his legal career clerking for a prominent insurance, school, and municipal defense firm. During his clerkship, he became immersed into the myriad issues and legal challenges that municipalities, educational institutions, places of worship, and businesses face.
Kambrell was drawn to municipal and school law while serving as the Student Trustee and Voting Member of the 10th Presidential Search and Selection Committee while attending Winthrop University. Later, while serving as a public-school teacher, he had an opportunity to interact with his local school district’s lawyer while also studying school law at Johns Hopkins University School of Education. While attending the University of South Carolina School of Law, Kambrell earned the Children’s Law Concentration, after engaging in extensive policy research. At the time, Kambrell did not realize how each of these cumulative experiences would have such a profound impact on his future legal career.
